X Corp. is seeking an experienced In-House Litigation Paralegal to assist the legal team with paralegal work, eDiscovery, vendor management, budgeting, and financial tracking. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, eDiscovery expertise, and proficiency with relevant tools, including Legal Tracker and Relativity. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of paralegal experience, and will have a demonstrated ability to provide administrative and eDiscovery support to dozens of cases simultaneously, perform litigation tasks, aggressively manage outside counsel costs, and proactively solve problems.
Responsibilities:
Conduct eDiscovery using Relativity, Logickull, Google Vault, Slack, Atlassian Tools, and proprietary X tools. Proactively manage deadlines and prioritize through clear communication with managing attorneys. Work directly with other teams at X to identify responsive data and solve technical problems.
Assist attorneys with ongoing litigation, including by: reviewing and responding to legal correspondence and served process; drafting legal holds and identifying appropriate custodians; drafting routine pleadings; responding to subpoenas; managing documents and deadlines; proofreading and cite checking.
Administer relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, including vendor onboarding and offboarding, invoice review and management, and case tracking. Administer X’s Legal Tracker environment to manage the efficient flow of the legal billing process and use advanced functionality to streamline administration and control costs.
Aggressively manage legal costs through ongoing budgeting and reporting, fee negotiations with outside counsel, and enforcement of X’s Outside Counsel Billing Guidelines. Proactively identify and implement additional opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least five years of experience conducting eDiscovery, managing vendors, and assisting in litigation.
Proficiency with eDiscovery tooling and processes, including Relativity. Expertise using Legal Tracker required.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Tenacity, proactivity, and a desire to do whatever necessary to complete the task at hand.
