Responsibilities
  • Lead and support new product introduction activities for products, processes, and technology from early-stage development through process performance qualification.
  • Lead and manage cross-functional teams across different skill sets and disciplines to deliver new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with Process Development, Science and Technology, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and ECM teams to transition new products from development to commercialization.
  • Complete site-fit assessments for products from the company pipeline and ECM opportunities.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight and coordinate support for new product introduction activities across the biological manufacturing area.
  • Coordinate with internal and external program management to align new product introduction schedules.
  • Ensure resource availability for new product introduction activities.
  • Build and maintain innovation and continuous-improvement practices within the function.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for operations personnel during new product introduction activities.
  • Collaborate with external parties to ensure engagement, alignment, and open communication throughout new product introduction activities.
  • Influence the design and implementation of robust process-control strategies for process risk assessments.
  • Generate product-transfer documentation confirming completion of product-transfer deliverables before application product-transfer stage-gate review.
  • Provide technical input and review and approve documentation associated with new product introduction activities.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with current good manufacturing practice and environmental, health, and safety practices.
  • Participate in new product introduction project gate reviews.
  • Interface with internal auditors and external regulatory auditors as the subject matter expert for new products and technology transfers.
