Requirements
  • Academic training in engineering at a university in Quebec.
  • Advanced French proficiency and intermediate spoken and written English proficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, perform tasks meticulously and autonomously, adapt to changing contexts and priorities, and solve complex problems.
  • Basic knowledge of wireless systems, including technologies, frequency bands, protocols, and propagation.
  • Basic knowledge of radio engineering equipment, including spectrum analyzers, antennas, filters, and coaxial cables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • A valid Quebec driver's license is required.
Responsibilities
  • Take measurements of 5G, LTE, HSPA, and WiFi signals in the field using specialized equipment, mobile phones, and tablets.
  • Support the RF engineering team in the design and optimization of 5G, LTE, HSPA, and WiFi networks.
  • Travel regularly throughout the province using a provided corporate vehicle.
  • Produce test reports using telecommunications software.
  • Perform signal-propagation simulations and produce analysis reports for Safety Code 6, a Canadian standard.
  • Contribute to optimizing network coverage for internal and external clients.
  • Participate in studies of new products, including testing, measurements, and report writing.
  • Improve the efficiency of the RF group by developing work tools.
  • Maintain various databases.
Desired Qualifications
  • Academic training in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Physical Engineering.
  • Completion of internship stage 2 or 3.
  • Knowledge of Ixus EMF or TEMs Discovery software.
