Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Education Development certificate, and previous data entry experience.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environment necessary.
  • Good organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Excellent phone etiquette skills and ability to interact professionally with others.
  • Must maintain confidentiality on all patient health information.
  • Must be able to interrupt and execute all policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within pharmacy guidelines is helpful.
  • Good typing skills and computer knowledge, specifically Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be reliable and have no attendance issues.
  • Must be able to work the Floating Schedule, which requires working a week of 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each month (no exceptions). In a one-month period, the schedule is two weeks 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., one week 10:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and one week 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m., with one Saturday per month from 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and a weekday off.
Responsibilities
  • Receive and place telephone calls.
  • Perform data entry and use software programs.
  • Maintain solid customer relationships by handling their questions and concerns with speed and professionalism.
  • Document all calls and evaluate each account to determine if further research is necessary.
  • Provide world-class service to customers in an accurate, efficient, and professional manner.
  • Meet productivity standards as set forth by the management team, and identify and report trends in call drivers to management.
  • Exercise close attention to accuracy and work independently, in line with established practices and procedures.
