Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship status is necessary as this position will require an active U.S. TOP SECRET/SCI Security Clearance
  • 10+ years of professional work experience in managing complex systems programs, demonstrations and studies or other relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with and making presentations to government customers and senior leadership
  • Must have deep knowledge of program management
  • Advanced knowledge of related disciplines within work area and ability to identify linkages and potential impact on projects, programs, or systems
  • Experience in leading competitive and sole source proposals and to lead capture strategy and proposal efforts and Risk management experience
  • Experience serving DoD customers as a collaborative partner, with extensive knowledge of DoD research laboratories, Program Offices, Program Executive Offices and HQ’s staffs across different Services and agencies
  • Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task, address multiple issues and set priorities
  • Must be reliable organized, flexible and detail oriented
  • Ability to monitor, interact and course correct technical and project teams to support evolving customer requirements
  • Excellent business sense to proactively identify and resolve problems and issues quickly and efficiently
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and sustain positive customer relationships
  • Deep and recent successful experience with NASA and DoD Research Laboratories
  • Demonstrated experience leading development programs including spiral upgrades to existing hardware and software systems and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • Experience in Competitive Captures and New Business Development
  • Satellite manufacturing, satellite operations or satellite terminal technology knowledge
  • Current Top Secret / SCI Clearance is highly desired
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 12 years’ prior relevant experience; an advanced degree in a technical or related field and minimum 10 years’ experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for day-to-day execution of one or multiple programs and studies based on size and complexity
  • This includes managing internal resources within TGS and the parent company, as well as coordinating teaming partners and vendors to ensure contract and program deliverables are achieved within the scope of the program
  • Understanding of key user communities needs and cultures is critical to success, particularly in translating requirements into realistic solutions and deliverables in furtherance of program objectives
  • Identifying, winning, and supporting new programs that develop greater Lightspeed awareness within the USG, and that lead to the adoption of its new technology, capabilities or service platforms that will meet USG mission requirements
  • PM will be a senior member of the TGS leadership team to help create a culture of collaboration and inclusiveness and keep the focus on the strategic priorities of the customer and TGS
  • The candidate must have a win-win mentality – the ability to find the most beneficial solution to challenges for all stakeholders
  • The candidate will be responsible for all technical, business, project functions and for managing all program costs, schedule and deliverables
  • Day to day duties will include briefing all levels of the TGS and parent organization as well as external briefs to customers and various government agencies.
