Job Description Summary
Under minimum direction, plans, organizes, directs and manages services at Central Maryland Research and Education Center (CMREC) including building maintenance and repair, space allocation, purchasing, emergency preparedness, and/or safety programs, schedule & coordinate maintenance & services at Beltsville, Clarksville and Upper Marlboro facilities. Coordinate services with Research Facilities Management Office (RFMO) when needed, replace or contact vendors for a wide variety of complex systems including HVAC, Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Electrical, Potable Water, Waste Water and Irrigation Systems as well as buildings and infrastructure maintenance. This position works directly with the CMREC-LESREC-WMREC Center Director, Managers of the Research and Education Center, and Research Facilities Management Office (RFMO).
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of housekeeping, facilities, operations, construction, or maintenance experience. One (1) year of experience leading or supervising professional staff.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
Knowledge of building systems.
Knowledge of building operations requirements.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
