Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of material handling sales or engineering experience is required.
  • Strong proficiency in Warehouse Control Systems, including controls and mechanical components, is highly preferred.
  • Ability to evaluate client material handling systems to enhance reliability and extend operational lifespan is required.
  • In-depth understanding of Daifuku technologies, including their features, functions, and value propositions, is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use Microsoft Dynamics CRM after training are required.
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings and technical schematics is required.
  • Strong ability to assess and resolve customer material handling challenges with effective solutions is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal technical and engineering teams to validate and refine proposed solutions is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for client interaction and internal coordination are required.
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand English is required.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues are required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Daifuku becomes the preferred provider of aftermarket services for target accounts, including parts, audits, support contracts, maintenance service, and modernizations.
  • Analyze legacy Daifuku systems to identify aftermarket sales opportunities.
  • Implement sales plans for assigned key accounts by coordinating personal sales activities with appropriate associates.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies necessary to profitably outsell the competition.
  • Lead the sales process with assigned key accounts to profitably meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Identify aftermarket sales opportunities through detailed review of existing client systems, focusing on software, controls, and mechanical elements.
  • Travel up to 30%.

Daifuku, a Japanese automation company, lifted its full-year sales and profit outlook after a strong first half and announced a 40-yen interim dividend. What does this mean? Daifuku said first-half net income rose 15% to 43.1 billion yen as sales grew 8.9% to 355.5 billion yen. Off the back of that, it raised its forecast for the year ending December 31st to 86.5 billion yen of net income and 735 billion yen of sales, up from 80 billion yen and 700 billion yen. It also lifted its basic earnings per share forecast to 233.55 yen and reiterated it expects to pay 90 yen per share in dividends for the year. Daifuku acquires 100% of Eisenmann to strengthen automotive manufacturing systems

Japanese company Daifuku has acquired 100% of shares in Eisenmann GmbH from current shareholder Nimbus Hands-on Investors. The acquisition strengthens Daifuku's manufacturing systems business for the automotive industry, particularly in painting and surface treatment. Eisenmann specialises in innovative automation technologies and sustainable solutions for painting and final assembly, primarily serving European automotive and industrial component manufacturers. Daifuku operates production and sales bases across 24 countries, with automobile production line systems forming a core business. The acquisition enables Daifuku to offer more comprehensive coverage in automotive and industrial manufacturing, from quotation through to after-sales support, tailored to European standards. Both companies expect the deal to enhance proposal capabilities, expand integrated offerings and increase customer value in automotive production line systems.
