Requirements
  • Completed technical degree or comparable qualification, e.g., in mechanical engineering or plastics engineering
  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable technical role, as well as experience in international, cross-border working environments—ideally within a matrix organization
  • Strong knowledge of tooling and mould design, tool steels, and plastic injection moulding technologies
  • Good understanding of mould manufacturing processes and industrial injection moulding procedures
  • Proficient use of 3D CAD systems, e.g., PTC Creo/Windchill
  • High level of personal responsibility, accuracy, and technical reliability
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple technical topics and timelines in parallel
  • Business-fluent German and English skills; additional European languages are an advantage
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (approx. 15%)
Responsibilities
  • Technical support of product development to ensure product performance and manufacturability
  • Creation of technical specifications for the sourcing of injection moulds in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Technical support for procurement in the selection and evaluation of tool suppliers, including active participation in technical supplier reviews
  • Leading the tooling sourcing process, including technical alignment with suppliers, quotation evaluation, design approvals, and structured follow-up
  • Active participation in project meetings and identification and escalation of tooling-specific risks and issues
  • Regular monitoring, documentation, and reporting of tooling project status and progress
  • Support during commissioning, validation, and qualification of new tools in close cooperation with process engineering and production
  • Active contribution to continuous improvement initiatives at EMEA and/or global level
