Base Pay Range: $58,700.00 - $99,800.00 Annually

Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA’s Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Central Engineering is KLA’s largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Central Engineering group in Ann Arbor is seeking a highly motivated engineer who will support the Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS) laboratory and parts cleaning processes in our Ann Arbor campus! Responsibilities include performing chemical analysis and statistical data processing as well as maintaining and calibrating the equipment. The candidate will be assisting in scientific research and make meaningful contributions in the field of material science and chemistry at KLA. A strong dedication to the improvement of the analytical laboratory and commitment to accuracy and precision is expected! Furthermore, you will be collaborating with dynamic teams and present clear and accurate data in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

• Fundamental knowledge in chemistry and chemical laboratory practices.
• Experience working in an analytical chemistry laboratory. Knowledge of GC/MS, mass spectrometry, lab automation, and associated software.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with GC/MS, RGA and vacuum systems.
• Practical knowledge of vacuum-based systems.
• Solid problem solving ability through design of experiments and carry out tests to collect and analyze data.
• Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
• Experience in statistical process control (SPC) is a plus.

The prospective employee is able to travel for critical customer support and training.
