Position Overview
The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design is accepting applications for a non-tenure track, Semester Lecturer appointment to teach undergraduate and graduate course(s) for the Center. Duties include but are not limited to: curriculum/syllabus design, content and materials development, teaching, and service activities. The selected candidates will be expected to complete activities and provide support for developing and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students, depending on chosen candidates’ degree certification.

All courses are taught in person on the University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio.

Performance Objectives

• Presenting course material and guiding students through assignments
• Creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
• Demonstrated commitment to student success.
• Offer open “office” hours weekly for student questions or assistance.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Terminal degree or equivalent in Design, Design Visual Communication or a related area.
• One to five years of teaching and/or industry related experience in the fields of Design or relevant areas. Teaching experience can include graduate teaching experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to or demonstrated efforts in teaching that reflect Ohio State’s Shared Values.

The Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design (ACCAD) is a computer animation, interactive, immersive and emerging technologies interdisciplinary research center.
