Requirements
  • A high school diploma or General Educational Development certificate is required.
  • One to two years of experience in an office environment.
  • Microsoft Office skills are required.
  • Ability to type 40 to 45 words per minute is required.
  • Database and spreadsheet creation and maintenance skills are required.
  • Written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Professional telephone skills are required.
  • Diplomacy, negotiation, listening, and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone calls, greet visitors, and perform filing.
  • Project a positive, friendly, and professional image to customers, including external customers, internal customers, and sales representatives.
  • Process orders in compliance with established Customer Service Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures, including ISO certification requirements.
  • Provide customers with certificates, proofs of deliveries, back-order information, samples, and status information.
  • Use tact and professional discretion when conveying difficult information, such as extended backorders, customer notifications, and credit holds; maintain a positive attitude during follow-up by other parties.
  • Learn to navigate and download files from Customer Portals.
  • Assist in other departments and perform a wide range of office duties as needed.
