ABOUT:

Our client is a BC based health and safety association, they are looking for an OHS Training Instructor to join their growing team.

POSITION:

Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, this role will play a key role in delivering exceptional health and safety programs both in class, on site, and virtual instruction to the company’s clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Facilitates and develops training for clients depending on the needs of their organization

- Ability to identify additional training opportunities and incorporate them into future training programs

- Ability to maintain external relationships with key client contacts, industry professionals, and health & safety associations

- The flexibility to travel within the Lower Mainland and BC, along with the willingness to train on occasional weekends depending on clients’ needs

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience as a CRSP, CHSC, or health and safety consultant

- Virtual training experience is an asset but not required, but a willingness to learn is important

- Certification or credential in adult instructional techniques (Provincial Instructor’s Diploma preferred)

- Candidates will be given priority consideration if they have instructional experience in the following: Joint Health & Safety Committee, Hazard Identification and Control, Incident Investigation, Workplace Inspection, or Emergency Preparedness/Emergency Response
