Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds on a regular basis throughout a shift.
  • Ability to perform significant bending throughout the duration of a shift.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in an environment with frequent interruptions and tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the housekeeping team by assigning, inspecting, and recording housekeeping actions in all areas of the hotel to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to guest concerns or requests in a courteous manner and execute service recovery when applicable.
  • Train and model guest service standards for staff by working side by side with team members.
  • Develop and implement service programs within the housekeeping department designed to increase guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct routine inspections of housekeeping operations to maintain standards according to company, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date Material Safety Data Sheets to ensure proper procedures are followed when using chemicals.
  • Direct staff performance and take appropriate corrective actions to hold team members accountable.
  • Motivate staff by setting goals, providing ongoing feedback, and rewarding or recognizing team members.
  • Assist with coaching, development, and required training for all department team members while ensuring training records are maintained.
  • Analyze quality issues and identify training needs to improve departmental results.
  • Attend daily, weekly, and monthly department and hotel meetings to ensure proper communication and planning.
  • Advise on and implement changes to housekeeping operations to assist with laundry initiatives and meet hotel productivity standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Development certificate.
  • Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience.
  • Bilingual language skills.
