Requirements
  • Proven experience in guest relations or hospitality management with leadership responsibilities over a small team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to handle guest concerns, complaints, and special occasions with a proactive and personalized approach.
  • Strong organizational skills including shift planning, rota management, and coordination with other departments.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control within a guest relations context.
  • Ability to analyze guest feedback and translate into service improvements.

  • Experience with creating engaging guest notices using PowerPoint or Canva (or similar tools) to promote upsell opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the Guest Relations department to ensure service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service.
  • Liaise with other Heads of Departments to ensure feedback is passed on and possible solutions found, and to come up with ideas to improve guest satisfaction throughout the hotel.
  • Attend Rooms Division Meetings and follow up on tasks set during the meetings; arrange coverage if unable to attend.
  • Ensure the Rota is prepared in line with business needs and that stock inventory is regularly checked to prevent shortages.
  • Maintain constant communication with other departments to ensure information circulates smoothly between them (Reception, Maintenance, Housekeeping, Kitchen).
  • Cover departmental shifts as needed and support all departments.
  • Ensure employees are informed daily about priorities to personalize service.
  • Follow all departmental policies, procedures and standards; demonstrate commitment to service excellence.
  • Manage and sustain promotions and offerings; supervise special occasion packages and guest notices to promote upsell and brand experience.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in luxury or upscale hotel environments.
  • Proven track record in increasing guest satisfaction scores and revenue through upselling and targeted guest engagement.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Canva or similar presentation tools for creating guest notices and proposals.
  • Fluency in multiple languages would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of brand service standards and guest experience programs within a hospitality setting.
