Requirements
  • BS degree in communications, health or environmental science, or a related field
  • Background in medical coding or billing
  • 0 to 8 years of related experience or interest in occupational safety and health and/or related health field

  • Coding severe injury/illness records using the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Occupational Injury and Illness Classification System (OIICS 3.02)
  • Reviewing work-related severe injury/illness records to compile incident narratives
  • Conveying incident details in a clear, concise manner
  • Team collaboration
