Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • At least 5 years of audit experience is required, preferably in insurance, reinsurance, health and benefits, and/or investments or wealth management.
Responsibilities
  • Provide independent and objective assurance over the organization's control environment, support audit plan development, and provide advisory services to management.
  • Lead complex audits through planning, process documentation and flowcharting, risk and control identification, execution and fieldwork, report writing, and stakeholder presentation.
  • Communicate audit findings and practical recommendations to key stakeholders and Internal Audit senior management to strengthen operational and information technology control environments.
  • Lead audits across the full audit lifecycle from planning and fieldwork or execution through reporting and stakeholder presentation.
  • Participate in internal audit plan development and assist Audit management in developing and implementing a risk-based audit plan.
  • Perform and lead internal audits and special projects, including leading interview meetings, developing audit testing plans, and reviewing audit reports to communicate findings to process stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, and review audit work programs and workpapers to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Identify control weaknesses and business productivity or efficiency opportunities, and assess corrective-action effectiveness to mitigate audit findings.
  • Manage communications with audit stakeholders and business leaders throughout engagements, clearly communicate findings and recommendations, and participate in closing meetings.
  • Supervise and coordinate audit team members assigned to engagements, including global team members, and provide feedback, coaching, and guidance.
  • Review audit workpapers and evidence for quality, completeness, and appropriate documentation supporting audit conclusions and reporting.
  • Drive audit milestones, manage competing priorities, and keep projects on schedule with appropriate resourcing and disciplined project management.
  • Stay current on evolving audit techniques, including data analytics and artificial intelligence, and pursue continuing professional education aligned with department needs and career development.
  • Influence and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, from executive management to staff.
  • Travel domestically and internationally approximately 25–35% as business needs require.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead multiple engagements and deliver to milestones and deadlines.
  • Experience with Optro, formerly AuditBoard, or similar workpaper documentation platforms.
  • Relevant designations such as Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Public Accountant.
  • Proficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of information technology general controls.
  • Experience with data analytics and familiarity with Power BI.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence to assist audit testing.
