Odin Dynamics develops autonomous undersea vehicles (UUVs) for defense, focusing on precision strike, ISR, and mine warfare. The UUVs are autonomous, long-endurance platforms with a modular design that can deploy from submarines or surface ships and operate within a naval system to carry sensors, payloads, or weapons while reducing risk to personnel. The company differentiates itself through scalable modular architecture, long-range endurance, and leadership with naval program management and high-tech industry backgrounds, enabling integration with existing naval assets in contested waters. Its goal is to extend naval reach, provide persistent underwater ISR and mine warfare capabilities, and deter adversaries by deploying unmanned systems where manned platforms cannot operate safely.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • LinkedIn shows 1-10 employees, 2009 followers, and active hiring in August 2026.
  • A December 2025 seed investor filing suggests early capital formation.
  • Black Flag hosted the founders on June 24, 2026, expanding defense-network visibility.

What critics are saying

  • No public contract, procurement award, or field test proves operational demand.
  • Patented battery claims face brutal validation risk; failure kills endurance thesis.
  • Defense primes and venture-backed underwater startups can outspend Odin before 2027.

What makes Odin Dynamics unique

  • Amir Khan's Tesla powertrain expertise pairs with Jon Haase's Navy UUV command experience.
  • Odin's battery-first architecture targets torpedo-range endurance in one modular underwater platform.
  • The company markets dual-use vehicles for ISR, mine warfare, and precision strike.
