IT Logistician

Overview

IT LOGISTICIAN (VDEPT):

Bowhead seeks an IT Logistician to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. The IT Logistician will be familiar with IT components, hardware, software and peripherals and understand processes required to make purchases of such equipment in a government, auditable environment.

Responsibilities

The IT Logistician is responsible for:

• Submission of compliance paperwork.
• Researching vendor quotes.
• Preparation of contract packages.
• Records retention, inventory controls, asset tracking and other acquisition functions.
• Logistical support of IT projects, including acquisitions, configuration management, inventory controls.
• Standard logistic lifecycle support and disposal.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of general logistics experience in the procurement and material management of advanced IT systems and components.

• Must have a High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.

• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Desired Qualifications:

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, etc.).

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 15 pounds or more 
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time 
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location
