Requirements
  • 10 years of experience with the listed cloud, infrastructure, container orchestration, identity and access management, CI/CD, networking, operating system, security, and version-control technologies.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, including strong hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code languages and advanced usage such as targeted applies and imports.
  • Deep experience designing and managing Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service for container orchestration.
  • Strong command of Amazon Web Services Identity and Access Management roles, policies, and security best practices.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, Linux or Unix administration, and security principles.
  • Proficiency with Git and modern GitOps practices.
  • Must possess and maintain required Department of Defense 8140 certifications.
  • An active TS/SCI federal security clearance is required.
Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure environments primarily within Amazon Web Services using frameworks such as the Well-Architected Framework.
  • Implement and manage core Amazon Web Services services, including networking with VPC, Transit Gateway, and Route 53; Kubernetes with Amazon EKS; compute with EC2 and Lambda; storage with S3 and EBS; and databases with RDS.
  • Architect and operate containerized workloads using Amazon EKS, including cluster management, scaling, and security.
  • Implement AWS Identity and Access Management by creating and managing roles, policies, and permissions based on the principle of least privilege.
  • Design immutable infrastructure.
  • Champion and implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform to automate cloud resource provisioning and management.
  • Develop, manage, and optimize robust continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software delivery and integrate security best practices into the platform and pipelines.
  • Develop custom automation scripts and tooling using Python, Go, or Bash to streamline operations and eliminate manual processes, with a strong focus on application programming interfaces.
  • Act as a cloud subject-matter expert by providing guidance and support to development teams to optimize their use of the platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate new cloud-native technologies and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and capability.
  • Champion foundational best practices, including Git workflows and the proficient use of artificial intelligence tools to accelerate development and problem-solving.
  • Divide large projects into manageable tasks for junior staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with VMware vSphere in a hybrid cloud context.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Familiarity with other public clouds, including Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Understanding of common authentication mechanisms, including OIDC, OAuth2, LDAP, and SAML.
  • Experience contributing to open-source projects.
  • One or more of the following certifications: AWS Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate/Professional.

Accenture drops LearnVantage focus, shifts $9B to cybersecurity and mid-market expansion

Accenture is shifting its growth strategy, de-emphasising LearnVantage, a learning and training business it built and promoted heavily in 2024. The company is acquiring a majority stake in an operational technology security specialist, alongside two smaller firms, combining them into a platform for critical infrastructure. These assets generate $208 million in annual recurring revenue, growing at 48%. Accenture's acquisition budget for fiscal 2026 is approximately $9 billion against $73.1 billion in trailing twelve-month revenue. Accenture acquires Dutch SAP partner McCoy to boost mid-market AI and ERP capabilities

Accenture has agreed to acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner specialising in mid-market companies. Upon closing, McCoy will join Accenture Edge, the firm's mid-market business serving companies with annual revenues between $300 million and $3 billion. Founded in 2012, McCoy operates from the Netherlands with offices in Spain and the Philippines. The company employs over 380 professionals who design, implement and manage SAP solutions across ERP, data and business applications. McCoy holds SAP Gold Partner status and serves clients in high-tech, manufacturing, public sector, utilities and retail. The acquisition will strengthen Accenture Edge's position in the EMEA mid-market whilst expanding SAP modernisation capabilities in the Netherlands. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed.
