Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful U.S. permanent resident, protected individual as specified by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligibility to secure necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State under ITAR export controls.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver highly-reliable gateware for our custom-designed hardware.
  • Work closely with engineers across different teams to develop new products, from initial prototype through production and deployment.
  • Take ownership of gateware products, including requirements definition, verification testing, and documentation.
  • Implement signal processing algorithms in gateware. Work with DSP engineers to design FPGA-friendly algorithms.
  • Integrate designs onto FPGA/SoC platforms and validate the devices that communicate and operate in space.
  • Follow and contribute to our software development process.
  • Contribute to hardware design discussions and assist in hardware debugging.
Desired Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals and experience interfacing with high-rate conversion interfaces (Xilinx RFSoC, AD9361).
  • Experience designing and modeling digital signal processing blocks and algorithms (filters, modems, etc.).
  • Experience developing software for embedded systems in C++ or C, or significant experience in another software language.
  • Hardware debug experience, with familiarity with tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers (SPI, CAN, Ethernet, or similar).
  • Comfortable reading circuit design schematics.
  • Experience with high-speed serial links, including Gigabits per second Ethernet, PCI-Express, or similar.
  • Familiarity with high-reliability, safety-critical, and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.

The company intends to use the funds to scale manufacturing across a portfolio of software and hardware products, including flight radios currently in orbit and next-generation systems for ground and airborne use. Led by CEO John Malsbury, AnySignal builds mission-critical space and national security infrastructure. It delivers wireless connectivity, sensing, and security infrastructure through full-stack solutions that combine advanced algorithms, ruggedized hardware, and cloud services. AnySignal raises $24M Series A to scale radio production for space and defense

AnySignal has raised $24 million in a Series A round led by Upfront Ventures, with participation from BlueYard Capital, First In Ventures and others, bringing total funding to $32 million. The company produces radio communication systems for space and defence clients. AnySignal currently has four operational missions in orbit and expects to launch a dozen more in 2026 across low Earth orbit, geostationary orbit and lunar missions. The company provides an end-to-end satellite communications solution, integrating hardware and software to simplify what CEO John Malsbury describes as a fragmented market. The funding will support a move to a larger El Segundo manufacturing facility, scaling production from roughly 100 radios annually to between 1,000 and 2,000. Headcount is expected to grow from under 40 employees to over 100 by year-end 2026.
