About the Role
Uber Scaled Solutions is one of Uber’s biggest bets with the ambition to build one of the world’s largest data foundries for AI applications and evolve into a platform of choice for a variety of online tasks. Supply & Marketplace operations is one of the core functional teams within Uber Scaled Solutions with the responsibility to acquire and engage IC gig workers who would perform diverse ‘Human in the loop’ tasks for AI B2B clients (Open AI, Google, Meta, etc). At its core, our ability to build the largest and cheapest supply pool is our right to win in this space.
As the US&C leader for supply and marketplace, you will be responsible for growing, retaining and engaging earners who would perform online tasks such as data labeling/annotation, app testing, translations, coding and more on Uber’s platform. You will drive cross functional efforts across policy, legal, product, and operations to define GTM strategy, unlock new and existing supply, and enable high quality work by gig workers on the platform.
The role will also shape and lead Scaled Solutions task/product/feature launches and improvements by working closely with global ops, product and engineering teams. You will be required to work with a geographically diverse team.

What You’ll Do
- Lead initiatives to attract, onboard, and retain a diverse and high-quality pool of freelancers in the APAC and MEA regions.
- Design and implement recruitment strategies through partnerships, digital channels, and local outreach.
- Collaborate with local teams to understand market nuances and develop localized strategies to address freelancer shortages.
- Analyze freelancer lifecycle data to identify key areas for improving acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Closely manage lead flow, pipeline progression, and accurately forecast the supply acquisition
- Coordinate the rollout of new products and services, ensuring that market entry and scale-up plans align with overall business objectives.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to localize product features and user experiences based on regional requirements.
- Identify potential blockers or challenges in product adoption and work cross-functionally to resolve them.
- Coach and inspire a team which will scale the freelancer pool to fulfill customer requirements
- Updates through regular cadence of business reviews to Uber senior management regarding progress against KPIs
- Skillfully manage multiple projects while embracing the fast pace of our company
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience leading marketplace operations within Partner ops, Tech, Consulting, and or Ecommerce / Gig Economy Workforces
- 2+ years People Management experience, building and developing teams
- Experience working in a Fast Paced, Ambiguous work environment
- Bachelors Degree obtained
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the gig economy landscape, freelancer behaviors, and recruitment strategies
- Knowledge of product management, go-to-market strategies, and market entry tactics in US&C
- Familiarity with localization strategies for products in diverse markets
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
- You are a builder who wants to be empowered to make big bets
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively across internal and external organizations
- Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with the legal and compliance aspects of freelance labor in the region is a plus

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year.
