Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an ABET accredited college / university or a combination of technical education and manufacturing experience.
  • 1-4 Years
  • Proficient with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  • Quickly performs detail-oriented tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication
  • Has a general understanding of manufacturing and machining techniques and equipment
  • Has a general understanding of ceramic materials and characteristics
  • Able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds
Responsibilities
  • Creates cost estimates and product manufacturing plans
  • Develops and maintains complete and accurate written records for products including routings, bills of materials and MRP item data
  • Interprets customer and CoorsTek technical drawings and quality criteria to ensure products are manufactured in accordance with the design and contract specifications
  • Creates 3D models and 2D drawings in Solidworks. Modifies existing 3D models and 2D drawings in Solidworks, Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD
  • Evaluates new and existing manufacturing processes for effectiveness and suggests modifications to improve efficiency
  • May participant in continuous improvement activities by identifying or developing innovative manufacturing methods or tools
  • May assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of processes to meet expected outcomes in the most cost-efficient manner
