Responsibilities
  • Develop skills to review, analyze, accept and decline risks to ensure profitability for Markel.
  • Communicate with underwriting management, colleagues, data analysts, and current and proposed producers.
  • Become familiar with and execute upon underwriting guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Apply educational insights and learning in a real-world business setting.
  • Be exposed to data analytics and digital technologies that focus on the future of underwriting in the reinsurance industry.
