Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience is required.
  • Two to five years of experience managing commercial interior, healthcare, and/or mission-critical projects.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making ability.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for discussions with company personnel, trade partners, designers, and clients.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records.
  • Understanding of internal and external team roles and responsibilities.
  • Growing understanding of trade delineation.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to read construction schedules and understand how they are developed.
  • Ability to work and thrive in team environments.
  • Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a professional role model for interns, project engineers, senior project engineers, and new assistant project managers.
  • Own the request for information process.
  • Own the submittal process.
  • Actively participate in creating accurate and timely budgets and bids.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of project cost controls.
  • Own project documentation.
  • Actively participate in project meetings, lead owner-architect-contractor meetings, and document those meetings.
  • Coordinate extensively with the superintendent and project manager, including frequent site visits to monitor onsite progress.
  • Distribute drawings, sketches, shop drawings, submittals, schedules, and punch lists to subcontractors and the site superintendent in a timely manner to maintain the project schedule.
  • Own the project closeout package process.
  • Become proficient in and use established company systems and technology to work efficiently and to required standards.
  • Promote the company's safety culture and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, enforce a safe work environment, and attend safety meetings.

  • Completion of basic budget training.
