  • A knack for finding unique angles off the news
Responsibilities
  • Write articles on personal finance topics that are relevant for WSJ subscribers
  • Ensure that sources/sourcing are appropriate for the topic
  • Collaborate with the editorial and commerce teams on article lineups for future months to ensure relevancy for the WSJ audience
  • Have an understanding of the WSJ.com audience to ensure articles are properly serving our audience’s needs
  • Work proactively with partners in the spirit of providing useful service to readers
  • Write polished, clear prose that balances sensitivity with expertise
  • Work well under pressure and collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Be meticulous in copy and ambitious in reporting, ensuring accuracy and depth in all coverage
  • Recommend linking opportunities to recent WSJ news articles where topics align
  • Ensure accuracy and journalistic standards for all content
