Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology or equivalent
Responsibilities
Supervises core laboratory staff and participates in the performance of various core laboratory procedures
Guides the day to day operations of the core laboratory
Prepares work schedules and assigns duties to laboratory staff
Performs experimental testing procedures and suggest changes to increase the validity and reliability of results
Ensures validity and accuracy of test results
Instructs trainees in procedures and techniques of performing tests
Secures media and supplies for clinical testing and research studies and manages supply requests
Directs the technical activities of the core laboratory and assigned laboratory staff
Assists in the review and revision of laboratory policies and procedures in preparation for laboratory inspections by various regulatory/accrediting agencies
Performs all other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree degree in Science required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
