Clinical Administrative Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the Director of Nursing (DON) and Infection Preventionist (IP) by coordinating daily activities, managing schedules, and handling communication.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of clinical reports, audits, and quality improvement documentation.
• Prepare and update infection control logs, track infection prevention protocols, and assist with related audits and reports.
• Maintain patient care records and ensure proper documentation and filing of nursing notes, assessments, and other clinical paperwork.
• Coordinate meetings, trainings, and in-services related to infection prevention, nursing care, and other clinical operations.
• Assist with the management of staff schedules, including tracking shifts, coordinating time-off requests, and ensuring adequate coverage.
• Support the infection prevention program by maintaining up-to-date information on infection control policies and procedures, and helping to ensure facility-wide compliance.
• Monitor and order necessary clinical supplies in collaboration with the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, including documentation, reporting, and communication with outside agencies.
• Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing and Infection Preventionist to ensure smooth facility operations.
