Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or relevant discipline with 5 years of experience; a Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience
  • An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product data sheets for electrical components
  • Willingness to perform physical work, and travel between NGC buildings in Baltimore area
  • Basic understanding of repair processes throughout an organization
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment that requires continuous learning in technical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
  • Able to take direction and quickly achieve the ability to work independently after receiving instruction/training
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Candidate must currently have, and be able to maintain an active/current U.S. Government DOD Secret Clearance or higher
Responsibilities
  • Managing and reporting of customer repairs
  • Communicating with suppliers to obtain the best outcomes for repairs
  • Performing logistics Product Support Analyses (PSA) to identify parts, equipment, activities and skillset necessary to maintain systems and achieve required levels of operational availability
  • Conduct Trade Studies to design sustainment strategies that minimize a system’ logistics footprint while achieving all other system requirements
  • Interacting with team members to interpret Customer needs and requirements
  • Participating in and presenting technical information in team and customer meetings
  • Coordinate with engineers, manufacturing, and customers to collect and exchange data
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining maintenance objectives of the program
  • Collect, track and analyses data such as usage rates, operation and maintenance trends, inventory level and other relevant information needed to ensure the sustainability of systems
  • Works with team to identify maintenance issues and improve maintenance processes
  • Contributing to proposal efforts
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic working knowledge of military operational and logistics organizations and operations
  • Experience in a manufacturing discipline implementing repair strategies and processes, especially related to electronic equipment
  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software tool such as SAP or similar, and/or a Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) software tool such as GOLDesp or similar
  • Experience developing logistics work products on a Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition program or DoD Sustainment program
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Support Analysis in accordance with MIL-HDBK-502 and TA-STD-0017
  • Knowledge of Logistics Product Data developments in accordance with GEIA-STD-0007
  • Experience with Logistic Product Database software tools such as EAGLE, SLICWave, PowerLogJ, or similar
