The Network Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting both cloud-based and on-premise network infrastructure for secure and efficient data transfer and communication. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud networking, security, and compliance protocols, as well as experience with cloud-based network design, implementation, and management. The Network Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the secure and efficient operation of cloud-based and on-premise networks at multiple classification levels.

Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and support network infrastructure for secure and efficient data transfer and communication
Develop, maintain, and document network system and service configurations for both cloud-based and on-premise networks
Document and troubleshoot network and system issues in cloud and on-premise environments
Create and maintain network diagrams and documentation
Test and evaluate network systems and services to reduce problems and make improvements in both cloud and on-premise environments
Ensure that the network infrastructure is optimized for the environments and that it meets the organization’s requirements
Work closely with other IT teams, including developers, admins, and security teams to ensure that the network infrastructure meets the organization’s requirements and can support its goals
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

Here’s what you need:

Bachelor’s degree, with 3 years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or higher (Sec+, CISSP, CASP, CCNA Security etc.) or DoD 8140 equivalent
2+ years’ experience with Cisco routing and switching design and configuration
2+ years’ experience deploying and managing encryption devices

Bonus points if you have:

2+ years of experience in maintaining cloud solutions
Ability to successfully interface with seasoned Government personnel
Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and support multiple efforts, as needed
Experience networking in classified environments
Experience with network management and monitoring toolsets such as NetScout, Wireshark, ExtraHop, SolarWinds, etc.
Experience with various cloud technologies, such as virtualization, containerization, and orchestration technologies
Ability to engage with users in a professional manner and present technical concepts plainly to semi-technical customers
Desire to learn new technologies and tools and willingness to share your experience with the team

Security Clearance:

Active Top Secret Clearance; preference to SCI eligibility. The position may require a polygraph examination

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
