Requirements
  • A Master's Degree from an accredited program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
  • A current Oklahoma license as a licensed clinical social worker, licensed professional counselor, or similar mental health credentials.
  • Experience treating clients across the lifespan, from children through adults, and treating substance abuse disorders.
  • Some experience with International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision and Current Procedural Terminology coding.
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • A valid driver's license and eligibility to be insured.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of diagnostic techniques and treatment therapies related to behavioral health.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, pull, push, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each client.
  • Provide counseling sessions to individuals, groups, and families across the lifespan.
  • Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic approaches to help clients understand and change their behaviors.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with confidentiality laws and ethical guidelines.
  • Work with clients to identify situations or behaviors that interfere with their recovery.
  • Refer clients to additional resources and services, such as support groups, inpatient treatment facilities, or vocational training programs.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in behavioral health.
