- A Master's Degree from an accredited program in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- A current Oklahoma license as a licensed clinical social worker, licensed professional counselor, or similar mental health credentials.
- Experience treating clients across the lifespan, from children through adults, and treating substance abuse disorders.
- Some experience with International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision and Current Procedural Terminology coding.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- A valid driver's license and eligibility to be insured.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A strong understanding of diagnostic techniques and treatment therapies related to behavioral health.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, pull, push, and lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Successful completion of the pre-employment drug screen.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs of each client.
- Provide counseling sessions to individuals, groups, and families across the lifespan.
- Utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other therapeutic approaches to help clients understand and change their behaviors.
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
- Monitor clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with confidentiality laws and ethical guidelines.
- Work with clients to identify situations or behaviors that interfere with their recovery.
- Refer clients to additional resources and services, such as support groups, inpatient treatment facilities, or vocational training programs.
- Stay informed about the latest research and developments in behavioral health.
