Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years of experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields.
  • U.S Citizenship is required
  • The ability to obtain and/or maintain an Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • The ability to obtain/maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Expertise with classical structural and finite element analysis including static, non-linear, modal, and vibration analysis.
  • Expertise with FEA of detail parts and assemblies.
  • Experience with development of composite and metallic material properties.
  • Experience with the analysis of additively manufactured metallic parts.
  • Familiarity with materials engineering and processes of composites, wrought metals, brazed metals and additively manufactured metals.
  • Structural project leadership or stress team leadership experience, with responsibility for multiple analysts’ work.
  • Experienced with presentation to external customers.
Responsibilities
  • Leadership of analysts and direct execution of structural analysis projects on airborne, shipboard, and ground-based structures.
  • Analysis tasks will encompass requirements and loads development, structural analysis (static and fatigue), and vibration analysis of metallic and composite structures.
  • Mentoring, estimating, planning, staffing recommendations, preparation of deliverable documentation and statusing program customers.
  • Work closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads/Product Owners to meet aggressive schedules, develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems, and advise program and functional management on technical risks and opportunities.
  • Work towards long term organizational goals, by improving processes, conducting research, and identifying efficiency and competitive advantage opportunities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering or related field
  • Significant experience with airborne products, environments and requirements.
  • Significant experience with Siemens Simcenter 3D.
  • Experience with pre-processor APIs or command languages.
  • Experience with FAA certification, or DoD qualification of airborne products.
