Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and Sustainability
  • At least 3-year consistent record of developing and delivering qualitative and quantitative sustainability and ESG reporting and communications
  • Understanding and knowledge of fundamental ESG frameworks, principles, conventions, regulatory regimes
  • Technical knowledge and experience with relevant ESG standards, including Sustainability Accounting and Standards (SASB), Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), TCFD, CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, writing, editing, data visualization and PowerPoint skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills; builds and maintains strong relationships/credibility
  • Excels in a fast-paced, meticulous work environment; optimally prioritizes and meets/exceeds deadlines
  • Ambitious mentality - highly adaptable, makes decisions, is comfortable with risk and uncertainty, takes ownership of their role and results, and can navigate sophisticated projects

Responsibilities
  • Own the process and development of the Crocs, Inc. annual ESG Report in accordance with agreed upon frameworks (SASB, TCFD, potentially GRI, etc.) and establishing key report objectives, audiences, timelines, and process as well as contributing to the content, editing, compilation of data, validation of results, management of claims substantiation, assurance and report launch and distribution
  • Coordinate information gathering, validation and alignment, and complete submission of responses to various reporting frameworks including such as ISS ESG, Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI/CSA), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), customer surveys and more
  • Coordinate and handle the collection of qualitative and quantitative data needed across reporting
  • Handle our internal data and metrics “source of truth” trackers, updating and refining Key Performance Indicators relevant to internal targets, public goals, and key reporting criteria
  • Be responsible for the development of a performance dashboard for the function
  • Engage and lead management of third-party consultants and platforms/tools where relevant/needed to ensure successful execution of sustainability reporting
  • Handle and develop tools and systems to optimize and improve reporting programs, process, and validation over time
  • Proactive research and monitoring of the ever-evolving ESG landscape, raising relevant and important insights, regulations, risks, and opportunities to best enable the brand to act and react as required
  • Identify and shape compelling written and visual summaries of ESG performance for various audiences, including dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and reports
  • Lead benchmarking and materiality assessments and updates as required to identify innovation and leading approaches to sustainability and ESG reporting
  • Use ratings, results, benchmarking, and strong industry and ESG understanding to dynamically improve quality and impact of company reporting as well as to provide direction and insights from reporting opportunity areas and best-practices to strengthen our corporate ESG & Sustainability strategies and goals
  • Support work needed for completion, understanding of, and improvement against other ESG rating, NGO review, customer surveys, ESG related RFPs and other surveys
  • Build annual improvement plans enhancing reporting and disclosures each year to drive toward best-practices and continuous improvement in reporting and our overarching sustainability strategy
  • Support work needed for the understanding of, and improvement against ratings, rankings, and best-in-class performance opportunities
  • Drive best-in-class ESG reporting, by working cross-functionally, to assemble and analyze macro and micro trends, global developments and risks, partner expectations, current and new ESG legislation, and required and voluntary disclosures. Enable the organization to best prepare for forthcoming regulations and reporting requirements
  • Work with internal audit, IR, and SEC reporting teams to assess accuracy, update filings and ensure clarity on the information, collected, maintained, verified, and reported
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date presentation materials for meetings with various partner groups
