Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on quality and/or compliance preferably in the apparel industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven track record to effectively engage both internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experiences in 6S, continuous improvement, and LEAN manufacturing
  • Strong data analytical skills and experience with basic analytical platforms (PowerBI, Smartsheet, Excel, SQL)
  • Ability to embrace ambiguity and flexibility to initiate action
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record of sound judgment, working independently to achieve success with minimal guidance
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and seeking the best solutions
  • Passion for work and outdoor activities
Responsibilities
  • Take product ownership of quality processes spanning Supplier Quality, New Product Introduction, and Bulk Production, primarily but not limited to Raw Materials & Assembled parts
  • Develop, define and standardize incoming materials inspection standards to document, train, and implement such standards
  • Create robust inspection plans in our QMS supply chain system to allow for data collection and analysis
  • Develop our PPAP program to validate new raw materials and parts every season
  • Problem solve with Engineering, QA, QC and Production to drive non-conformance to full resolution while documenting learnings
  • Develop internal KPIs and create dashboards using data to drive meaningful action
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers, address any quality-related issues, identify risks in the supply chain, and implement improvements
  • Implement new tooling, equipment, and samples to help improve our incoming material quality control
  • Identify improvements that enable quality product delivering on-time and at cost
  • Work with downstream production teams to better understand the root cause of material and/or production defects
  • Liaise with our raw material suppliers to initiate product returns and manage product recalls
Desired Qualifications
  • Formal certification in Lean Six Sigma
  • Previous experience in an ISO9001 environment
  • Experience with CAD software
