Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience with Linux system administration of HPC clusters
  • Proven experience with networking, especially for large networks spanning multiple clusters
  • Firewall management and security implementation/monitoring
  • Expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system
  • Ability to remove/install multiple servers in a short period weighing up to 40 pounds, as well as familiarity with cabling networking and power to the servers
  • The candidate must be able to work independently, identify and resolve potential problems, and be able to handle the position tasks quickly with limited training
Responsibilities
  • Plan, build, and maintain existing Linux-based HPC infrastructure to support Intel business related activities
  • Highly available and on-site to handle spontaneous requests from Intel and external users
  • Create and maintain system documentation and logs
  • Work daily with engineering and marketing teams to ensure system is operating at a level sufficient for driving business revenue
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with parallel computing languages such as MPI/OpenMP (Very preferred)
  • Remote BIOS management through Out-of-Band network
  • Knowledge of high speed interconnect setup such as Infiniband
