As Back-end Developer, you’ll be a key member of a small, dedicated team focused on maintaining and enhancing back-end services for data-heavy applications. What you’ll do:
- Assess incoming requirements to determine necessary changes on the C# (web service) or SQL (database operation) side.
- Collaborate directly with customers, troubleshoot data-related issues, and ensure accurate data delivery and reporting.
- Analyze database tables, optimize indexing, and ensure efficient data handling for large data pools.
- Support and troubleshoot web service endpoints for performance and efficiency, ensuring seamless back-end operations.
- Coordinate closely with a well-liked support team, maintain positive relationships, and provide a customer-centric experience that keeps users engaged and informed.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years of relevant back-end developer experience
- Oracle PL/SQL Expertise: Advanced ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize database structures; Oracle skills are essential for this role.
- ASP.NET Core & C# Proficiency: Experience with ASP.NET Core for backend web service development, with C# for related services.
- IIS Server Management: Competency in deploying and maintaining applications on IIS servers.
- DevOps Familiarity: Working knowledge of Jenkins and Octopus for deployment pipelines.
- Scripting Skills: Experience with PowerShell or equivalent languages for scripting and automation.
- Strong Debugging and Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to analyze data issues, work through complex backend procedures, and independently identify and resolve inconsistencies.
- Self-Starter with Ownership Mindset: Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and own tasks from start to finish without requiring step-by-step direction.
- Personable and Positive Attitude: Effective, friendly communication skills with the capacity to handle customer inquiries with patience and professionalism.
- Responsive, High-Touch Communicator: Ability to keep customers engaged with proactive, clear updates at each stage, ensuring they are informed even when facing complex or evolving issues.
