Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience performing as a project engineer or project manager on local agency and/or DOT roadway projects
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and mentor junior level staff
Responsibilities
  • Design and guide the implementation of construction plans and specifications
  • Manage project status with regards to the scope of services being provided by company staff and sub-consultants, as well as the project budget and the project schedule
  • Organize the workflow within the assigned design team and take responsibility for the timely completion of the tasks assigned
  • Report project status to immediate supervisor and/or management
  • Perform verification that project designs are in conformance with the latest design specifications
  • Perform quality control checks of work developed by junior staff and participate in firm-wide quality control initiatives
  • Provide mentorship and development for junior staff
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules for contract development
  • Coordinate with other departments and sub-consultants to allocate project scope and develop budget and schedule proposals
  • May assist with business development efforts and prepare statements of qualifications and letters of interest
