Meet the Litigation vertical

You're a Litigation lawyer, ideally one who comes from a small or medium size law firm dealing with regular 'run of the mill' litigation and disputes. You love litigation, but are unsure whether you want to be a private practice litigation lawyer forever. You are keen to put your valuable legal skills and experience to good use, and have an interest in how lawyers can leverage technology to make them more productive in their daily work.

Well, we have the perfect role for you!  We are looking for the next team member of our new "Litigation " vertical, someone to work us with to build custom products and services to help practitioners working in litigation throughout Australia. As a collaborator with a passion for all things tech, or someone who constantly enjoys improvement and making things just that bit better, you'll join a small but mighty team that includes Product Owners, Developers and Content Specialists to improve the LEAP product and create exciting Litigation specific products that can be provided to our LEAP customers.

What you'll do

AI is the future and LEAP is at the forefront technically of applying AI to the legal industry. You will play a huge part in making this happen and driving change for the better (think automatic time recording, AI drafted briefs to counsel and AI legal research!) You'll bring your experience and expertise in litigation and your ability to understand our clients to focus on the needs of firms that practice litigation. You'll help us improve our software for better user experience and be the in-house expert when it comes to the process of running litigation across the Australian jurisdictions. You'll report to the Head of the Litigation vertical and help drive the direction and strategy this business unit takes. The products you help improve and design will see your colleagues in litigation soar and put them ahead of every other lawyer out there.

To make this happen, you will:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of litigation lawyers and provide ongoing feedback to members of content and development teams to help improve the core product for litigation lawyers and drive the development of litigation specific solutions.
• Be the sounding board for internal questions about litigious matters, how they run in practice and what would actually be helpful for a lawyer with a case load of litigious files.
• Ensure clients use LEAP Litigation in the best possible way - help them to help their clients in the most effective and efficient way possible.
• Educate clients on LEAP Litigation nationally, including delivering demos and webinars, attending seminars, networking events, and relevant conferences. You will be the real legal expert behind the Litigation vertical.

What you'll bring

• 4+ years of recent experience practicing in litigation, ideally from a small medium size law firm
• A passion for continuous improvement and delivering meaningful change.
• A strong understanding of or interest in AI technologies and their application within the legal sector.
• Strong presentation skills – you can effectively present LEAP features to a group of people and have the ability to read the room.
