Dollar Tree (DLTR) draws bullish analyst wave ahead of Q2.

Dollar Tree (DLTR) draws bullish analyst wave ahead of Q2. TIM BOHEN - UPDATED AUG. 24, 2026, 4:47 PM ET Dollar Tree Inc. stocks have been trading up by 5.52 percent after strong earnings and upbeat guidance boosted investor confidence. Key takeaways. * Wells Fargo boosted its Dollar Tree target to $155 and kept an Overweight rating, flagging upside to Q2 earnings, same-store sales, and full-year guidance plus tariff and buyback tailwinds. * Jefferies moved DLTR from Underperform to Hold, hiking its target to $135 on strong comps, better traffic, and multi-price strategy benefits. * UBS expects DLTR's Q2 to show solid momentum, with traffic and merchandising strength that could push earnings, comps, and FY26 guidance above current expectations. * Bernstein inched its DLTR target to $127 and stressed the Street's shift toward valuing steady sales growth over one-off tariff boosts. * BMO lifted its target to $98 but stayed Underperform on DLTR, well below the Hold-rated Street average above $128, keeping a skeptical voice in the mix. Live Update At 16:46:36 EDT: On Monday, August 24, 2026 Dollar Tree Inc. stock [NASDAQ: DLTR] is trending up by 5.52%! Discover the key drivers behind this movement as well as its expert analysis in the detailed breakdown below. Quick financial overview. DLTR has been grinding higher in August, not exploding. The daily chart shows Dollar Tree climbing from around $127-$129 at the start of the month to a close near $136.75 on 2026/08/24. That's a steady, controlled uptrend, not a parabolic spike, which often gives swing traders cleaner risk levels. Intraday, DLTR held tight between roughly $133 and $137, with the last hour pushing toward the top of the range. That late-day strength matters. It hints that traders are positioning long into the upcoming Q2 catalyst, rather than bailing into the close. On the fundamentals side, Dollar Tree printed about $4.98B in quarterly revenue and $347.3M in net income, translating to a 7.7% EBIT margin and roughly 6.5% net margin. For a discount retailer, that's solid profitability. DLTR's P/E around 20.6 and price-to-sales near 1.3 signal the market is willing to pay a reasonable premium, but not bubble territory, for that earnings power. Debt is heavier, with total debt-to-equity above 2, yet interest coverage of 27.3 times suggests the balance sheet is manageable. For active traders, this mix - slow, upward price action plus improving profitability - sets DLTR up as a "trend with catalysts" rather than a lottery-ticket flyer. Why traders are watching DLTR into Q2. DLTR is suddenly back on Wall Street's radar, and traders should be paying attention. The catalyst stack is building. UBS expects Dollar Tree's upcoming Q2 report to show "solid momentum," driven by better store traffic, sharper execution, and stronger merchandising. In plain English: more people in the stores, buying more stuff, with management running a tighter ship. UBS even sees a decent shot at an upside surprise on earnings and comps, and a possible raise to FY26 guidance. That kind of setup often fuels pre- and post-earnings trading waves. Wells Fargo is leaning in even harder. It raised its DLTR price target to $155 from $145 and stuck with an Overweight call. The firm points to potential upside in Q2 EPS and same-store sales, and expects full-year guidance to move higher. On top of that, Wells Fargo highlights real-world tailwinds most retail traders ignore: easier traffic comparisons, lower second-half tariffs, accelerated share repurchases, and tariff refunds. All of those feed directly into DLTR's earnings math. Even past skeptics are backing off. Jefferies upgraded Dollar Tree from Underperform to Hold and jacked its target from $85 to $135. The driver: strong comparable sales, improving traffic trends, and extra upside from DLTR's simplified multi-price strategy. That shift matters - when the bears stop pressing, short-squeeze fuel fades but headline risk to the downside also shrinks. Not everyone is fully convinced. BMO raised its target to $98 but kept an Underperform rating, far below the Street's Hold-rated average around the high $120s. Bernstein nudged its target from $124 to $127 and stayed at Market Perform, reminding traders that the market wants durable top-line growth, not just tariff-driven margin sugar highs. Add a vague Form 4 insider transaction with no clear bullish or bearish signal, and you get a mixed, but clearly improving, backdrop around DLTR. Conclusion. DLTR is walking into its next Q2 print with the wind at its back. The stock is trending up, analysts are raising the ceiling, and several big-name shops - UBS, Wells Fargo, Jefferies - are openly talking about upside risk to earnings, comps, and guidance. Dollar Tree's solid margins, positive cash flow, and ongoing buybacks give those calls some teeth, even with leverage sitting on the higher side. For traders, the key is separating hype from structure. The daily chart on DLTR shows a disciplined climb with clear support levels, not a wild meme move. The intraday tape confirms steady dip buying and strong closes. That's exactly the kind of action momentum traders in the Tim Sykes and StocksToTrade community like to stalk: strength into a known catalyst, with multiple bullish headlines priming the crowd. As Tim Bohen, lead trainer with StocksToTrade says, "The best trades are the ones you can make without emotion. Plan it, then execute it as if it's routine." That kind of unemotional, rules-based approach is what helps traders stay focused on the setup instead of getting swept up in the excitement around a hot ticker like DLTR. At the same time, the split between BMO's Underperform stance and the higher consensus targets shows this isn't a one-sided story. If Dollar Tree whiffs on Q2 or guidance, the disappointment could hit hard because expectations have crept higher. This content is for educational and research purposes only. As Tim Sykes loves to say, "The market doesn't owe you anything - it just rewards the most prepared." With DLTR, that preparation means knowing the levels, understanding the analyst narrative, and being ready to cut losses fast if the Q2 story breaks the wrong way. Dollar Tree planning third Deptford location, taking over former Rite Aid.

Dollar Tree planning third Deptford location, taking over former Rite Aid. Dollar Tree is continuing its expansion into former pharmacy locations across South Jersey, with plans for a third Deptford store - this time taking over the former Rite Aid on Cooper Street. The upcoming Dollar Tree will be located at 860 Cooper Street, directly in front of the Walmart and close to the busy Cooper Street and Delsea Drive intersection. The location also puts the retailer within easy reach of Woodbury's eastern neighborhoods. This follows the recent opening of a Dollar Tree in a former Rite Aid in Barrington, while another conversion is underway in Swedesboro and expected to open in September. Dollar Tree's third Deptford location. Dollar Tree already operates two stores in Deptford Township. The original location is in the Clements Bridge Road shopping center across from the Deptford Mall. A second store is located farther southeast along Route 41, in the shopping center in front of Home Depot. While all three locations are relatively close to the Deptford Mall area, they are spaced out enough to serve different portions of the township and surrounding communities. News of the Cooper Street location came from an observant 42Freeway reader who noticed something had changed at the former Rite Aid. A portion of the roadside Rite Aid sign had been replaced with dark green plastic. It was definitely a clue that something new was coming, and considering Dollar Tree's recent streak of former pharmacy conversions, it was my first guess. A quick search confirmed it: Dollar Tree is already hiring for the 860 Cooper Street location, including an assistant manager position. Dollar Tree expanding across South Jersey. Dollar Tree has been ramping up its South Jersey presence, frequently taking advantage of former pharmacy buildings. It makes sense. Many Rite Aid and other pharmacy locations were developed 20, 30 or more years ago on prime properties in densely populated suburban communities and along heavily traveled roadways - areas where suitable retail space can be difficult to find. Just a few weeks ago, the new Barrington Dollar Tree opened in a former Rite Aid, while another location is being developed in Swedesboro with an expected September opening. I've also recently covered Dollar Tree stores taking over former Rite Aid locations in Blackwood, Stratford and Mullica Hill. Dollar Tree isn't the only retailer finding opportunities in former Rite Aid properties. AutoZone recently opened in a former Rite Aid in Williamstown, with another proposed for Clayton. Dollar Tree 'gooning' incident sparks lawsuit in Colorado.

Dollar Tree 'gooning' incident sparks lawsuit in Colorado. Lawsuit in El Paso County alleges understaffing, lack of security at Dollar Tree fuels public masturbation incidents. PUBLISHED: August 18, 2026 at 2:12 PM MDT UPDATED: August 19, 2026 at 9:41 AM MDT Dollar Tree's chronic understaffing and lack of security measures have made stores nationwide a "hunting ground" for sexual assaults involving what's known as "gooning," the act of public masturbation, a new Colorado lawsuit alleges. The lawsuit, filed last week in El Paso County, alleges a woman shopping with her child and mother was victimized in March 2025, when a man followed the family around a Dollar Tree in Colorado Springs and ejaculated on her. That man was arrested and charged with indecent exposure and aggravated unlawful sexual contact, according to the lawsuit. The same man had previously been involved in a similar incident at another Dollar Tree in Colorado Springs in December 2024, but was not banned from the chain, the lawsuit alleges. The new lawsuit stems from a series of "public gooning" and "sharking" incidents reported at Dollar Tree stores across the country, where strangers approached customers and either ejaculated on them or wiped semen on them from behind. In a statement Tuesday, an unnamed Dollar Tree spokesperson said the company takes inappropriate behavior extremely seriously and cooperates with law enforcement once officials become aware of criminal activity. Dollar Tree also has ongoing safety education and regularly reviews policies and risk assessment. Morgan Carroll, one of the attorneys for the family suing Dollar Tree, said in a statement the incident never should have happened. "Dollar Tree has known about a pattern of serious safety issues impacting its customers and employees, particularly involving sexual assaults. Chronic short staffing and lack of investment in security measures directly lead to preventable assaults," Carroll said. The lawsuit details nearly two dozen incidents of women being sexually assaulted at Dollar Tree stores between 2018 and 2026, including the Colorado Springs assault and another where a woman was followed and groped at a Littleton location. The problem of people entering Dollar Tree stores, exposing themselves and masturbating on or groping customers "is common enough to have earned its own name online - 'nut-and-dash,'" the lawsuit stated. Dollar Tree typically staffs its stores with a skeleton crew of one to three people, the lawsuit alleges. Those employees cannot watch the entire store from the cash register or respond quickly to emergencies, the lawsuit said. And, despite awareness of these incidents, Dollar Tree has not invested in security guards or required its real estate partners to provide security, the lawsuit alleges. The stores often do not have working security cameras, and those that do typically cover only the cashier or high-theft merchandise, not the full store or parking lots. "These incidents were clearly foreseeable," the lawsuit stated. The Guardian first reported on the "disturbing rise" of "gooning" incidents in July. Dollar Tree appeared to be a favored location for the attacks, The Guardian reported. The Colorado lawsuit accuses Dollar Tree and the private equity companies that own the land and building where the store sits of negligence for "failing to create a safe environment for customers."

Little Caesars joins Syracuse Plaza as Dollar Tree, Champions Martial Arts renew leases

Little Caesars Pizza is opening at Syracuse Plaza in Camillus, New York, whilst Dollar Tree and Champions Martial Arts have renewed their leases at the shopping centre. The leasing activity was overseen by Yechiel Rivlin, President of ABS Management & Development Corp, which manages the property. Little Caesars will occupy the former Subway space at 4119 West Genesee Street. Dollar Tree maintains its value-oriented retail presence, while Champions Martial Arts continues offering martial arts and fitness programming. "A strong shopping centre needs both continuity and evolution," said Rivlin. "It's meaningful when existing tenants choose to renew because that reflects confidence in the property, and adding a recognisable new business like Little Caesars brings additional energy." The property benefits from access to a substantial residential base along the established West Genesee Street commercial corridor.

Dollar Tree Coming to former Swedesboro Rite Aid; hiring starts, signage going up.

Dollar Tree Coming to former Swedesboro Rite Aid; hiring starts, signage going up. Dollar Tree is continuing its South Jersey expansion, with the discount retailer taking over the former Rite Aid location in Swedesboro. Located at 335 Village Center Drive along Center Square Road, the former pharmacy sits between McDonald's and Wendy's, just a short distance from Route 295. Workers arrived earlier this year to begin clearing out the former Rite Aid and preparing the building for a new retail tenant. For several months, however, there was no official confirmation regarding which retailer was moving in. That has now changed. Dollar Tree recently posted job openings for the new Swedesboro store on its official careers website, confirming the retailer's plans for the property. And today, as I was working on this article, a local resident captured photos of installers putting the Dollar Tree logo signage on the building. The photos were shared with 42Freeway with permission. Dollar Tree expanding into former Rite Aid stores. The Swedesboro location continues a growing South Jersey trend of Dollar Tree taking over former Rite Aid pharmacy buildings. Following Rite Aid's bankruptcy and widespread store closures, many of the former pharmacy locations have attracted interest from other retailers. Rite Aid stores were often positioned in highly visible locations within established residential and commercial areas, making the vacant buildings attractive to new tenants. 42Freeway has recently covered new Dollar Tree stores taking over former Rite Aid locations in Blackwood, Stratford and Mullica Hill. Another Dollar Tree is also expected to open soon in a former Rite Aid in Barrington. Other retailers are jumping in on the former Rite Aids including Autozone in Williamstown and soon Clayton. Swedesboro now joins that growing list as a new Dollar Tree... and I know there are many others I didn't mention! Dollar Tree Swedesboro location. The new Dollar Tree at 335 Village Center Drive will be positioned in the heart of a busy residential and commercial area. Numerous local and national retailers and restaurants are located nearby, while one of South Jersey's largest office parks sits just across Route 295. The surrounding Woolwich and Swedesboro area has also experienced significant residential growth. When I visited the former Rite Aid on May 31, construction crews were still clearing out remnants of the pharmacy operation, with discarded materials being loaded into a large dumpster positioned in front of the store. At the time, I was looking for evidence that could confirm the identity of the new tenant, as rumors had already been circulating regarding the property. The strongest confirmation arrived just a few days ago when I spotted Dollar Tree job listings specifically tied to the Swedesboro address. Then today, a 42Freeway follower messaged me to say someone had posted photos in a local community group showing Dollar Tree signage being installed on the former Rite Aid building. With hiring underway and exterior signage now going up, it appears the new Dollar Tree Swedesboro store is moving closer to opening... but I do not have a timeframe just yet. Now hiring - Swedesboro. Reviewing the online Dollar Tree Career Website, I see three roles posted for the new Swedesboro store; * Assistant Manager I * Merchandising Assistant Manager * Customer Service Associate Salaries range from $16 to $20.25 an hour based on position and experience.
