Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing the end-to-end release process for complex systems
  • Deep understanding of deployment engineering and operational processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Java and Node.js microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Azure cloud services and on-premises platforms.
  • Experience in improving the efficiency and reliability of release processes.
  • Ability to implement best practices for release management and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Communicate the release-related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements. Act as liaison between different teams, organizations and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the third-party applications, defect backlogs, planned releases, and infrastructure updates.
  • Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage/mitigate them, such that the scope scheduled, quality of the release and end customer experience is not affected.
  • Team up with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software.
  • Lead/host meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks.
  • Supports technical teams by engaging on call or resources required to resolve issues; monitor and control changes to the release and deployments
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build, test and release.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering preferred or a related field or Equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, deployment engineering, or a related technical role.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the release management process for our omnichannel platform, managing critical AT&T products and Java, Node.js microservices hosted on Azure and on-premises platforms.
  • Coordinate and execute release activities, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of new features and updates.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, resolve issues, and improve the overall efficiency and reliability of our release processes.
