Responsibilities
- Investigate, discuss, and solve complex problems by interaction with manufacturing departments, consultants, customers, and suppliers.
- Build a layout and working capacity model that provides a visual of the process flow of the manufacturing floor.
- Be instrumental in implementing SAP Capacity Resource Planning.
- Collaborates with teams across various disciplines to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for product lines.
- Manage projects utilizing engineering and process flow techniques.
- Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.
- Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.
- Utilizes technology (i.e., Tableau) to develop reportable operating metrics.
- Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs and increase production flow.
