Requirements
  • Experience or exposure in mechanical systems, facilities operations, commissioning, construction, engineering, maintenance, building operations, military mechanical work, or a related technical environment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment, facility systems, construction activities, or technical field work, with willingness to continue learning.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts and apply them in office and field environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and system information with guidance.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn commissioning documentation tools or project software.
  • Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with commissioning, testing, and verification of mechanical systems supporting mission-critical facilities and data centers.
  • Participate in field observations, equipment startup support, and functional testing alongside experienced technical staff.
  • Gather field data, photographs, notes, and system information to support documentation, issue tracking, and project closeout.
  • Support project teams with coordination, site readiness, testing preparation, and communication across stakeholders.
  • Build practical knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, chilled water systems, cooling infrastructure, controls integration, and commissioning best practices.
  • Maintain accurate project records, test forms, issue logs, and deliverables supporting project outcomes.
  • Follow safety expectations and contribute to team execution.
  • Perform site inspections, including walking project sites, climbing ladders, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, and working in confined spaces when needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Building Systems, or a related field.
  • Exposure to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, chilled water systems, controls, building automation systems, commissioning, data centers, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Hands-on technical experience through internships, technician roles, trade programs, military service, facility operations, maintenance, or field-based project work.
  • Interest in developing a long-term career in commissioning, building performance, data centers, or mission-critical operations.
