Requirements
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience with 2+ years of robotics design
  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent, minimum requirement)
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanism design, packaging, and knowledge of various types of motors, encoders, sensors, power transmission, and drive-train-related components
  • Proven experience designing and building mechanisms and assemblies, ideally with a background in robotics
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical analysis including modeling tolerance stacks, static and dynamic analysis, FEA and thermal analysis
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and team development
  • Ability to be on-site at Agility’s design facility as needed
Responsibilities
  • Act as a mechanical engineering architect and lead major subsystem design
  • Own architecture, design, implementation, testing, and commercialization for relevant hardware subsystems
  • Drive engineering specifications from product requirements and work cross functionally to align engineering specifications with different domains
  • Create subsystem CAD and ensure quality
  • Lead cross-functional design reviews
  • Drive the development of specifications, requirements, test methods and protocols through formal verification to ensure functionality, safety and efficacy of design
