Requirements
  • B.S. in a STEM area of study is required.
  • At least 10 years of related experience is required.
  • Possess strong leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring junior engineers.
  • Knowledge of Mission Control Systems flight management, mission execution, and mission planning.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) theory and application, particularly as it relates to SIGINT, ELINT, COMINT, or MULTI-INT systems.
  • Understanding of NSA security processes, data handling procedures, and Security Classification Guides related to SIGINT systems.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers supporting SIGINT hardware and software initiatives.
  • Maintain situational awareness of all U.S. Navy SIGINT efforts and develop long-term capability roadmaps.
  • Oversee Certification and Airworthiness processes for SIGINT systems.
  • Direct the design, integration, qualification, production, and in-service support of SIGINT avionics.
  • Develop system specifications, Statements of Work, Contractor Data Deliverable Lists, Engineering Change Proposals, and Technical Directives.
  • Create technical strategies and roadmaps, including engineering staffing plans and approaches for addressing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).
  • Provide technical analysis for trade studies, engineering investigations, and system upgrades.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for SIGINT systems in Airworthiness reviews.
  • Support financial and personnel resource planning to meet program objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the program office.
