- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- Master's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting roles, with significant leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting standards.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Lead the General Ledger team in the day-to-day accounting operations, including oversight of subledger activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrolls.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, accruals, allocations, intercompany entries, and consolidations, with the objective of ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Review and analyze accounting transactions and balances, across the whole of the accounting department, making necessary adjustments as required.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements disclosures
- Help lead and manage success completion of external audit activities
- Lead globalization efforts that aim to standardize general ledger processes and increase efficiencies across the globally distributed team.
- Contribute to the development, maintenance, and evolution of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP while maximizing efficiencies and reducing barriers to scale.
- Support financial analysis and forecasting activities, working closely with other departments, including FP&A to provide insights into business performance.
- Provide strong leadership to the General Ledger, fostering professional development and growth.
- Help cultivate a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the accounting team.
