  • A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution is required.
  • An active, clear, and unrestricted Texas medical license is required.
  • An active and unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license is required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide critical, hands-on wound care to a geriatric population in nursing facilities as a mobile wound care physician and independent contractor.
  • Make clinical decisions and manage patient outcomes.
  • Treat patients using current advancements in wound healing.
  • Provide care through per-patient visits and procedures.
  • Participate in company-provided wound care training and biannual continuing medical education conferences.

Skilled Wound Care is a physician-led provider of wound-care services for skilled nursing and long-term-care facilities. Clinicians deliver bedside assessment and treatment while collaborating with facility teams on documentation, prevention, and follow-up. The organization also trains and supports physicians building specialized wound-care practices.
