This position can be based remotely in any of our approved hiring regions. Our hybrid distributed workforce philosophy allows us to find the best talent in the country and build diverse teams, while allowing our colleagues to work from the location that works best for them. Overview
The FP&A Analyst will report directly to the Sr. Manager, FP&A and will have ample exposure to the VP of FP&A. This role will be a key contributor in ensuring accuracy of budgets and forecasts for various business units, assist in performance tracking initiatives, and lead variance and ROI analyses to drive informed decision making. This position will provide you with exposure to all facets of how the business is run. The primary focus is to assist and build relationships with business unit leaders, compile and analyze financial results, and assist in the forward-looking decision-making process.
Responsibilities
- Create financial reports and analysis and actively review results with business partners on a regular and ongoing basis (monthly, quarterly, etc.).
- Perform budget vs actual analyses at a business unit and consolidated level including identification and communication of key drivers and update forecasts as necessary.
- Analyze and report on current and future headcount (full time employees and contractors) status of each business unit.
- Prepare compliance reporting (debt covenants, industry reporting, etc.).
- Support FP&A management in partnering with business unit stakeholders to drive the annual planning and quarterly forecast process including preparation of operating budgets based on actual results, prior budgets, operational initiatives, and other factors.
- Leverage analytics and develop reporting tools to drive KPIs and inform business leaders.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Mortgage Operations, Data and Capital Markets to gain insight and knowledge of departmental initiatives and develop projections to be incorporated into forecasts.
- Create and lead presentations on planning, performance tracking, etc.
- Deliver reports and analyses in a timely manner.
- Manage ad hoc inquiries and information requests.
- Calculate and distribute calculations for accruals and payroll for Kiavi’s commission plans; communicate, explain, and resolve discrepancies with reporting managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance, or Capital Markets required; Corporate or Business Unit FP&A experience a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience at a management consulting firm, accounting firm, investment bank, private equity firm, investment and/or technology company.
- Financial modeling: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel required (e.g. Ability to build financial and operational models from scratch utilizing Excel); Adaptive and Tableau a plus.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail required.
- Strategy and execution: Capacity to problem solve in a structured way and provide actionable insights to drive growth.

Kiavi takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. Work locations are categorized into one of three tiers based on cost of labor for that geographic area. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Tier B - 78K to 100K + 5% bonus + equity + benefits
Tier C - 70K to 90K + 5% bonus + equity + benefits
