Requirements
  • A four-year degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage, lead, and influence others on a team while prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Experience managing multiple contractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously and adjust work priorities.
  • Excellent personal computer competency.
Responsibilities
  • Enable high performance of the supply chain facility by fostering a reliability-centered maintenance culture that ensures equipment availability.
  • Provide leadership to Maintenance Technicians, Utility Attendants, and Enterprise Asset Management Software Technicians.
  • Deliver solutions for challenging problems and work with building leaders to optimize material handling equipment.
  • Manage external contractors, remain on call for emergencies, and manage multiple projects and daily activities within required timelines.
  • Develop a continuous improvement process that is data-driven and focused on root-cause elimination.
  • Improve system reliability through defect handling, breakdown elimination, planning, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to accomplish engineering and maintenance goals.
  • Lead and develop the team through coaching, constructive feedback, guidance, and performance management.
  • Administer performance management and reviews.
  • Oversee onboarding and completion of required training for new hires and support continued enhancement of team capability.
  • Own the accuracy and timeliness of shift performance metrics and communicate shift handoffs to ensure continuity of maintenance efforts.
  • Develop emergency repair work plans for critical assets and oversee escalation during downtime incidents.
  • Promote safety across the site by eliminating equipment safety hazards and ensuring adherence to safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash procedures, and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Conduct safety investigations and after-action reviews to determine root causes.
  • Manage the health, reliability, and lifecycle of site commodities, including material handling equipment, lighting, power distribution, backup generators, fire suppression and notification systems, balers, compactors, compressors, dock doors, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems, over-the-road trailer fleets, and powered industrial truck fleets.
  • Approve financial expenditures for parts within corporate guidelines.
  • Validate the quality of external contractors’ repair and project work.
  • Ensure data integrity and adherence to Asset Management standards.
