Requirements
- Is proficient in a modern compiled programming language (C++, Java, C#, Go, etc.)
- Has solid computer science fundamentals, with strong competencies in networking, distributed systems, and software design/architecture
- Has experience in building industrial-strength software projects with a large code base
- Has experience in programming, debugging, and performance tuning distributed and/or highly concurrent software systems
- Has excellent verbal and written technical communication skills
- Is enthusiastic about mentoring junior engineers and interns, aiding in their growth and development
- Is curious, collaborative, and intellectually honest. You are not afraid to admit you don't know something or to ask for help

Responsibilities
- Build MongoDB Atlas Serverless features using Java, C++, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Lead and contribute to complex technical projects
- Collaborate with product and design teams to incorporate user perspectives
- Diagnose and fix issues alongside customers and support engineers
- Coordinate with MongoDB server, driver, and other cloud engineers to make changes or contribute to their projects
- Work with team members to improve our codebase, best practices, and design principles
- Learn from and mentor other team members
- In 3 months, you'll have shipped code into production and collaborated with the team to solve tough problems
- In 6 months, you'll be responsible for reviewing code and have contributed to a large project
- In 12 months, you'll have designed new features, led a project to completion, become a go-to expert on parts of the system and served as a mentor to junior engineers
