What you’ll do
The People Business & Process Senior Specialist will be in the Temporary Service Providers (TSP) Office of AlixPartners. The TSP Office is responsible for the end-to-end processing of our temporary service providers (TSP) beginning with engagement requests, contractual processing, onboarding/offboarding and assignment maintenance for these individuals. In addition to the processing function, the role will be engaging directly with our internal client and corporate services teams, sometimes globally. Opportunity to engage strategic thinking beyond daily tasks to optimize business process in the context of firm growth.
Known internally as People Business & Process Senior Professional, this is a full-time role reporting to the People Business & Process Manager located in Southfield, Michigan. Paid relocation is not available for this position.
- Support the engagement and intake process for temporary service providers, including some outside the Americas:

- Manage communications from internal teams/requestor.
- Assist in the classification process of service providers by utilizing AlixPartners’ existing policies, procedures, procurement tools, and applicable systems, including tracking of key data.
- Support compliance reviews and other internal due diligence related to contract requests.
- Ensure, with the support of others as needed, proper and sufficient documentation is created and/or reviewed and executed related to procurement and in support of the firm’s classifications of service providers.
- Assist with preparation, review, revision and execution of contracts (including vendor/contractor-type contracts and employment and employment-related contracts).
- Support onboarding, maintenance and offboarding of temporary service providers:
- Facilitate completion of any required paperwork, including onboarding steps, tax forms, contracts, and other necessary documentation.
- Update all record keeping systems to ensure compliance with all policies.
- Responsible for reporting and contract term maintenance to facilitate compliance with contract terms, and process contract extensions and/or terminations, as needed.
- Liaise with stakeholders and various internal teams to manage temporary service providers from onboarding through offboarding (such as Payables/Payroll, Background Screening team, People Operations, etc.).
- Liaise with contract recipients, solely and/or with colleagues, as needed.
- Work with the TSP Office leadership to:
- Assist with maintenance, revisions, and updates of contract templates and internal forms.
- Assist with compliance and HR risk management matters.
- Liaise and consult with colleagues in both internal support roles and in the business communities.
- Apply and maintain AlixPartners’ policy.
- Understand and apply relevant procedures and policies to all aspects of the contracts processes.
- Monitor relevant legislation, and communicate with legal counsel as needed, to ensure policies reflect current rules.
- Manage risk by pro-actively determining when existing contracts require examination or re-evaluation based on changes in legislation, changes in AlixPartners’ business, etc.
- Develop reporting and analytics in support of various stakeholders.

What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree required. Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field highly preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably in a professional services firm.
- Professional certifications in HR or contract management are desirable (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and internet applications.
- Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers at all levels, internally and externally.
- High attention to detail with the ability to organize, manage, and prioritize responsibilities effectively, adapt to changing circumstances to meet key deadlines under time constraints.
- Familiarity with HCM (Human Capital Management) software is a plus (e.g. Oracle, Workday, SAP, Ultipro, ADP, etc.).
- Ability to maintain composure and maintain an executive presence during high pressure situations by being resourceful, anticipating needs, prioritizing responsibilities, and proactively managing schedules while meeting deadlines and responding to urgent situations, as required.
- Ability to be discreet and handle confidential, sensitive information.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and business requirements, devise innovative strategies and implement complex solutions.
- Experience in Project Management and Change Management preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal skills from both business and technical perspectives.
- Desire to learn new skills and continuously improve.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Core working hours are generally 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday - Friday; willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
