**This role is a predominantly a work-from-home position. However, candidate must reside within a reasonable distance from our Mundelein, IL office**
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and process requisitions and Purchase Orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies.
Final level of authority to releasing Purchase Orders.
Responsible for creating over 7K Purchase Order lines per week valued at approximately $25M per week.
Analyze purchase requisitions versus inventory targets, service considerations, demand and sourcing options prior to generating Purchase Orders.
Manage the PO release process through vendor minimum and alternative means to satisfy MRP demand.
Resolve and/or maximize opportunities regarding vendor issues, stocking, sourcing, pricing, terms and service.
Nourishes lasting relationships with key vendors.
Lead/present during regular meeting to improve overall working relationship and improving operational flow.
Monitor inbound service level and address issues.
Validate, revise and/or recommend changes to system data via interaction/communication with product divisions and vendors.
Understand upstream supply chain impact on inventory health and interactions & timing to make strategize business decisions.
Participates in cross training activities and is able to independently trouble shoot as needed.
Communicate vendor backorder issues to Inventory Management, Customer Service and vendor teams.
Maintain timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices and other documents. Review/analyze month-end reporting.
Ensure MIOH, Service to customers, Surplus and Stock transfer are in with KPI targets.
Work to reducing surplus on hand and potential surplus on PO.
Assist in developing and managing vendor or Medline product allocations.
Assist in developing and managing truckload programs and vendor funded programs Medline participates in.
Review and take action on daily/weekly reports to reduce surplus, minimize on hand inventory across distributions centers and keep Inventory Management Medline systems up to date.
Initiate and improve process for team and vendors. Includes optimizing orders day to reduce lead times, lead time management and safety stock adjustments.
Develops relationships with divisional partners and collaborates for improvements.
Leads department initiatives on process improvements by improving system and analytical tools.
Collaborates with PI/IS on testing, logic and implementation of new processes. Advanced knowledge of end to end buying processes.
Detailed Knowledge of SAP Master Data.
Working knowledge of demand planning inputs and sales orders.
Thorough knowledge of IM formula.
Participates in mentoring/training new and rotational team members.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to assimilate diverse information and communicate across internal departments and external vendors.
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, Vlookup function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using pivot tables, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics in the interpretation and relationships in SAP.
Demonstrated problem solving ability in an environment of rapid change and with many variables.
Strong self-accountability; proactive engagement; extreme ownership and self-drive
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
Certificate/Licensure
APICS certification.
Work Experience
At least 3 years related experience.
Experience with SAP, Business Objects, Tableau or Alteryx.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$79,560.00 - $115,440.00 Annual
This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
